Membership Details
The London Region Balloon Club welcomes anyone with an interest in ballooning to join the club. There are two levels of membership available depending on your involvement in the club.
Social Membership is the basic membership for those who do not wish to use the Club balloon. Each member receives a copy of our monthly newsletter Hot Gossip full of news, stories and details of ballooning events around the country and abroad. There is also a small library of books and videos available to members.
Flying Membership is an additional fee for those who wish to fly in the Club balloon. Using the balloon with instruction from one of the Club’s Pilots, members can learn how to fly and gain their Private Pilot’s Licence. Alternatively you can join in the fun as crew during a training flight.
The current membership costs are :-
Social membership - £15.00 per person
Flying membership - £25.00 per person in addition to the social membership
If there is more than one member living at the same address then the Club offers a family membership which is currently £18.00. This covers the Social Membership of the Club. If each member wishes to fly in the Club Balloons then they must each pay the Flying membership fee as well.
