| Stanstead TMZ effective from 24/09/2009 |
You should already be aware that the CAA’s Director of Airspace Policy approved NATS’ proposal to implement Transponder Mandatory Zones (TMZs) under the 1500’ stubs of the Stansted Control Area (Stansted CTA). You can see the CAA’s announcement at the CAA Website.
The TMZs will be implemented on Thursday 24 September 2009 by means of the Air Navigation (Restriction of Flying) (London Stansted Airport) (No. 2) Regulations 2009 (S.I. 2009/2020). The SI is available to read online by clicking on the fololowing link:

Also attached to this page is a copy of the appropriate Yellow AIC 076/2009 as well as a poster describing the TMZs. Please be aware that this is an advance copy of the AIC and full distribution will be made from 10 September.
